Lockdown brings a lot of uncertainty to many. It can be especially concerning for those dealing with huge life changes, such as moving house.
You may be thinking... can I still move house in lockdown? Does the lockdown restrictions allow me to view properties I'm interested in? What happens with my house sale in lockdown? The simple answer is, business as usual for Estate Agents. Estate agents are allowed to continue to work and house moves are permitted to go ahead. You can still view properties in the 2021 lockdown, following the updated Government COVID guidance. House sales are continuing as usual, but do not hesitate to contact your Sales Progressor if you are unsure of anything.
The guidance is as follows: “You can still move home. People outside your household or support bubble should not help with moving house unless absolutely necessary. Estate and letting agents and removals firms can continue to work. If you are looking to move, you can go to property viewings. Follow the national guidance on moving home safely, which includes advice on social distancing, letting fresh air in, and wearing a face covering.”
