Worcestershire Property Market Update: A Busier Autumn Market

As we head further into autumn, there are encouraging signs of activity returning to the property market. For homeowners across Worcestershire, that could mean more buyers restarting their search after the quieter summer months.

According to the latest Rightmove House Price Index, the average asking price of a newly listed home rose by 0.7% in September to £367,440. It’s the first monthly increase since May and slightly higher than the typical September rise of 0.5%

That said, sellers are still competing in a busy marketplace. The number of homes available to buy is at a 12-year high, while buyer demand and sales agreed are both 9% lower than they were this time last year.

For anyone thinking about selling a property in Worcestershire, getting things right from the start matters. Rightmove found that 74% of homes sold so far this year were priced correctly from day one without needing a later price reduction, while the average property is currently taking around 64 days to find a buyer.

Autumn traditionally brings more people back to the market, so there is still plenty of opportunity. A sensible asking price, good presentation and the right marketing can help your home catch the attention of serious buyers.
