Telford Property Market News

A local estate agent is reporting a hugely successful summer, with sales figures suggesting the Telford housing market is thriving.

Nock Deighton has revealed that agreed sales at its Telford office in July and August were up nearly 60% compared to the same period last year. The strong summer comes hot on the heels of the branch recording its single best sales month since 2007 back in May.

Tom Skelley, Office Manager of Nock Deighton’s Telford branch, commented: “The summer months are usually one of our most prosperous times for buying and selling properties in the county, and this year has been no exception. We have sold a wide range of homes, including apartments, bungalows and family homes, and as well as huge demand from house-hunters across Shropshire, we have also seen an increase in buyers from outside of the county, including Yorkshire, West Midlands, and Surrey.

“We have seen a steady increase of agreed sales and instructions since the spring, and our ongoing success is a strong indicator that the housing market is continuing to picking up. It also goes to show, Telford is a particularly buoyant market, especially much sought-after areas such as Priorslee.”
