The autumn property market is beginning to pick up, bringing fresh opportunities for homeowners considering selling in Ludlow and the surrounding area.
Rightmove’s latest House Price Index shows that the average asking price of newly listed homes rose by 0.7% in September to £367,440. This is the first monthly increase since May and slightly above the ten-year average September rise of 0.5%.
While buyers are returning after the summer, they still have plenty of choice. The number of homes available for sale is at a 12-year high, while buyer demand and sales agreed are both 9% lower than a year ago.
For Ludlow sellers, standing out from the competition is therefore particularly important. Rightmove reports that 74% of homes sold so far this year were priced correctly from the outset without needing a later price reduction. Nationally, it is currently taking an average of 64 days to find a buyer, reinforcing the value of realistic pricing and strong presentation from day one.
With autumn activity returning, those thinking about selling a property in Ludlow have an opportunity to reach renewed buyer interest – but getting the price and presentation right remains key.
